Times, they are a changin’.

This is for those of you who have visited the website for the last year and a half and wondered why there haven’t been additional posts. Well, blame it on life. Between things hartsfrontdoorlike work, creating, teaching, moving both the studio and my house, and helping dear friends recover from illness and surgeries, posting here has not been a priority. I agree that it is time for a change. Now to catch you up…

Since November 2015, EBS has been located at Harmony Arts Collaborative along with painter Camille Inman. Last February, we kicked things off with a fab open house that included folk artist Patti Fenick, and later hosted additional artists for the first two HArts Pop Up Markets in December. They were a hit, so more events are being planned for this year. Be sure to periodically check the Classes & Shows and HArts pages as dates are announced. Better yet, sign up for EBS eNews for notifications.

Speaking of Classes & Shows, I have been teaching a lot. From ongoing forged jewelry classes at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library, to being asked to lead an art project for 130 participants in Catawba County’s Seniors Morning Out Program, it has been quite busy. I love sharing knowledge and helping people learn new skills where they make something uniquely their own. It is simply magical.

10-16-libraryclassSo with that, I am announcing a new schedule of in-studio classes that include basic forged jewelry and in-depth fabrication. In the “make & take” forged jewelry classes, you will learn to texture metal with hammers and leave with a piece of jewelry – earrings, necklace, ring or even a cuff – in probably less than two hours. The multi-day fabrication class offers students the opportunity to learn how to use a jeweler’s saw, filing and finishing metal, basic soldering skills and more. Yeah, I am pretty excited! Click for more information and email me if you have questions or want to sign up.

One last thing…In the coming weeks, I will be posting photos of Camille’s fabulous paintings on the Harmony Arts page, so be on the look out!

Thanks again for your appreciation and support in what I do.  I sincerely appreciate it.
